My First Sewing Injury

So, I don't have any pictures that really fit this story other than this one from over a year ago. Last night I obtained my first sewing injury. I was working on a baby quilt and sewed right into my finger. The needle broke the middle of my finger nail and slid through my nail and edge of my finger. I ended up with a finger nail sliced in half and a cut from the middle of my nail down to the end of my finger. Luckily, I didn't have to go to the hospital and have a needle removed. Turns out  my thread didn't even snap.

  1. Aouch, that must hurt. Well they say you're not a real sewer until you hurt yourself (Ok I just made it to make you feel better, but still)

  3. Ouch! That sounds awful! Hope you're alright by now! I've never even considered sewing dangerous, but I guess I should watch my fingers from now! xo Anja
