Looks Like I'm Next In Line

This weekend I went to a beautiful wedding for my friends Crystal and Evelyn.

And I caught the bouquet!

So, It looks like I'm next in line to get married.
In a few years, right? Here are some glimpses at my dream wedding thus far:

Needless to say, Alec shook his head when he got back from the car to see that I was waving a bouquet around and yelling "I got it! I got it!"

Enough of that, though. I really want to share some quotes with all of you.
I have been doing lots of reading lately (Thank the Lord).
Over the past few weeks I have read Matilda and Little Women. I will spare all of you the synopses because, come on, these books are pretty dang popular. So, here are a few of my favorite quotes:

Little Women
 by Louisa May Alcott

My child, the troubles and temptations of your life are beginning, and may be many; but you can overcome and outlive them all if you learn to feel the strength and tenderness of your Heavenly Father as you do that of your earthly one. The more you love and trust Him, the nearer you will feel to Him, and the less you will depend on human power and wisdom. His love and care never tire or change, can never be taken from you, but may become the source of lifelong peace, happiness, and strength. Believe this heartily, and go to God with all your little cares, and hopes, and sins, and sorrows, as freely and confidingly as you come to your mother.

“Watch and pray, dear, never get tired of trying, and never think it is impossible to conquer your fault.”

“I don't pretend to be wise, but I am observing, and I see a great deal more than you'd imagine. I'm interested in other people's experiences and inconsistencies, and, though I can't explain, I remember and use them for my own benefit.”

Books transported her into new worlds and introduced her to amazing people who lived exciting lives.

                                                                                                                  — Matilda by Roald Dahl
What have you been reading lately?
