Remember The Booktober Swap from last month?
Well, I was paired up with the lovely Melanie from La Explorer!
For some reason I only sent her one book. It didn't even occur to me to send her more than one. I tried to make mine pretty and send a little card along with it, but Melanie blew my swap gift out of the water.
I was delighted to find a package on my porch. It was so heavy that I honestly could not think for the life of me what I had ordered that would be that heavy. When I opened the box I found 3 books, 1 planner, 3 book marks, 2 pencils and this adorable card. What a great swap!
The books she included were:
My Berlin Kitchen: A Love Story (With Recipes)
by Luisa Weiss
which according to Melanie, is written by a fellow blogger.
One Writer's Beginnings
by Eudora Welty
A memoir
Daisy Miller and Washington Square
by Henry James
two must-read classics
The book marks were from Book Soup, The Last Bookstore and The Los Angeles Library.
She even included a POKETO planner without even knowing my love for planners.
Thanks, Melanie!
I am beyond excited by this little package and can't wait to start reading (especially the recipe book).
Did your book swaps come in the mail yet?
Have you read these books before?
I haven't read these, but they look great! The recipe book looks especially interesting.
ReplyDeleteI have only read My Berlin Kitchen. It was awesome. I love the personal story given to each and every recipe.
