Corned Beef and Cabbage

This is a classic "St. Patrick's Day" meal. Is it Irish? I have no idea. Is St. Patrick's Day even an Irish holiday? I read that it is an Irish-American holiday that people in Ireland don't even celebrate. Does all of this affect how yummy and hearty this meal is? Absolutely not.
I know most of us know how to make corned beef and cabbage. But, there are lots of people who have never made it before on their own! This year was my first time making it so, I spent some time looking at people's favorite method of making this traditional dish.
To be honest, I even tried one method and switched to another 4 hours in after I realized it wasn't working!

St. Patrick's Day Peppermint Bark

If you are looking for a quick and easy way to incorporate green into a dessert, this recipe is the right one for you. After all, we don't all have hours to wait for cupcakes to cool before frosting, to elaborately decorate sugar cutout cookies shaped like shamrocks or even to bake cookies at all. This simple dessert will help get your family into the St. Patrick's Day spirit in no time without sacrificing any delicious-ness.

Simple French Onion Soup

French onion soup is an absolute comfort food for me. I never liked it until this year, either. Isn't it strange how that works? Anyway, I have been craving it all winter long. I get it every time we go out to a restaurant to eat. Bizarre. Anyway, I am going to share a very simple recipe with you today on how to make it at home. Now this is a college-friendly recipe, which means it can be made on a budget. It is also "healthy" because I skipped out on the cheesy, delicious, carb-filled croutons or french bread. You can absolutely add those little delights when you make it, though.

How to Fall Back Into Love with Blogging

Do you ever feel like you are in a blogging rut? Like you could spend hours on Pinterest pinning beautiful images and reading well-written blog posts, but the thought of getting up to actually create something that you pinned seems absurd?
Well, I'm here to share with you the secret to falling back into love with blogging. The photo above is not simply a mess covering an ugly apartment carpet (looks may be deceiving.) The photo above is what a motivational meeting looks like, and I'm going to teach you how to have one.

Recipe Writers: St. Patrick's Day Snacks

Well, It is March already. Can you believe it? Me either.
Last month we celebrated love, romance and all thinks pink and red. We enjoyed decadent chocolate on more days last month than we'd like to admit, I'm sure. I encourage you to check out these Nutella Filled Crescent Hearts, Rachel's Heart Shaped Fudge and these Chocolate Covered Cherries. I'm sure you'll want to add them to your recipe collection after you look them over.
Now, we move from red to green. This month is the luckiest month of the year. The month where we drink to celebrate our Irish heritage (or our pretend heritage), look for rainbows and hope to find that one four leaf clover. Let's celebrate by coming together and sharing all of our St. Patrick's Day inspired recipes for this month's theme:
St. Patrick's Day Snacks

I almost forgot! I have very exciting news this month. The past few months we have been testing out Recipe Writers and getting it up and running. It turns out that you guys enjoy it as much as I do! I really think we will all enjoy it just a tad bit more if we could see the delicious recipes we have all been raving about...so, we now have photo links! I can't wait to see what you all have to share!
